What is MyVLab?

  • "On Demand" access to applications via the Internet
  • Access to your local computer drives in MyVLab applications 

Who can use MyVlab?

  • MyVlab Applications are available to Western students and supporting teaching staff

Are there access limitations?

  • MyVlab accepts 250 connections
  • Individual applications may have limited/restricted concurrent usage

What applications are offered?

  • ArcGis, Atoms and Elements, Deep View, EES, LabView, Food Procesor, Lasergene, Maple, Matlab, SPSS, Plate Tectonics, SAS, and Sigmaplot

How do I get started?

  • Install the Oracle Secure Global Desktop Client, instructions available here

What are the system requirements to run MyVlab Version 4.61?

  • Windows XP/Vista/7
  • IE 8+ or Firefox 10+

Current Issues: While previously required, current versions of Java are no longer compatible with MyVlab. As a result, Mac and Linux clients are no longer able to use the service. Windows users must now install the Secure Global Desktop Client to use MyVlab. Please see the following documentation for instructions on how to install and configure the client.
